God himself came to a lost world

Watch for this—a virgin will get pregnant and bear a son; They will name him Emmanuel (Hebrew for “God is with us”) (Matthew 1:23)

As the first Christmas story begins to unfold in the Bible, we find the real purpose of Jesus’ birth beginning to come through.
This was no ordinary baby but was in fact God in the flesh.
With the world lost and separated from God, he didn’t send an angel or some other created being on the mission that lay ahead.
Instead the Lord himself came. And just like he came amongst us 2,000 years ago, he is still with us today.
In fact he desires to be in fellowship with us and he’s actually a lot closer than many people realise…
