Don’t waste your life away

Mark a life of discipline and live wisely; don’t squander your precious life (Proverbs 8:33)

I don’t like Mondays, sang The Boomtown Rats. That reflects how so many people think.
In practice it means one-seventh of our lives are written off as we wish a whole day away. And if you include the day before dreading what’s to come, add a few more hours on that as well.
But just take Monday alone. If we really do have the Monday blues big-time it means every seven years we waste a whole year. Every seventy years that’s ten years wasted.
Life is too precious to simply throw it away because of a day. Be disciplined, live wisely and don’t squander life.
