Brandhall & Quinton FC win their group in style

In tonight’s fixtures, all in the DBMT, Tipton Family Church FC took on Men United, in the knowledge that they have never beaten them in fourteen attempts. Unbeaten in their last twelve games and having scored in an incredible forty-six consecutive matches, the odds were heavily in favour of Donny Shinn’s boys. And there were no form upsets either with a 10-1 scoreline.

Brandhall & Quinton FC completed their group stage games, going into the game unbeaten in eight, and having won ten out of eleven versus their opponents in all competitions. They continued their run of form as they hit Oakham for six, with no reply. Dave Wall was the night’s top scorer with four.

In the closest game, on paper at least, Crestwood Town FC and Kingsbourne went head-to-head with second place in the group at stake. On a run of form, Crestwood were five games unbeaten before the match with a pretty good record against their opponents, only having lost three out of ten. The result confirmed the form book as Crestwood ran out 3-2 winners, with Kyle Smith grabbing a hat-trick.
