Thoughts from Matthew 26

The term ‘Judas’ has become synonymous with one who betrays, and perhaps more to the point, one from within as opposed to one from the outside.
It is a sad fact of life that, just as Judas betrayed Jesus all those years ago, the same thing happens today. All we can do is keep our eyes open so that we spot a potential Judas before they are allowed to inflict too much damage.
But equally importantly, we must guard our own heart so that we don’t go down that route ourselves. I doubt whether many Judas’ actually set out to become what turned out to be.
