Weekly news from the Tanzania mission field (James Colton news)

Rose and I, we greet you in Jesus name. We thank you for your prayers.
Sunday 18 June I was teaching adult Sunday School and taught on True Discipleship and what it means for each of us to take up our cross and follow Jesus. Rose was ministering in song with the choir.
Tonight (Friday 23 June) I will be leading the Prayer Meeting, first bringing a short word, Maombi ni pia kusikia (Prayer is also to listen.)
On Sunday we will be presenting the Christmas gift boxes to the children , received through OCC – Operation Christmas Child, part of Billy Graham Ministries. Bishop Mhina is coming to make the presentations and will bring the Word of God. I will be teaching Adult Sunday School – Ninasadiki Miujiza – I believe in Miracles.
Yesterday Pastor Chipamba and his wife took Rose and I to see a piece of land (as a church we are looking to buy a piece of land for the church, as at present we meet at our house.). We are now praying for God to speak concerning that land, is it right for us? They are asking four and a half million Tanzanian Shillings for the land. Now we have half of that amount saved for buying land. Please pray with us to kow the will of God in this and for His provision to buy land. Thanks.
Phoned Silas this morning to check on his condition and  that of his wife Mariam. He said he is a little bit good, the malaria has been cleared but he still has typhoid – but he is waiting to take treatment because of his wife. She is still in hospital in Dodoma and the doctors want to refer her to another hospital. They really need your prayers and support. Their baby daughter, Irene, is weak because she is no longer receiving her mother’s milk. Please pray for Irene.
Finally I ask you to keep praying for me over these next few weeks as it is time to renew my Residence Permit – my permit expires on 19 June. I need to see God’s provision for the new permit..
We continue to remember you in our prayers.
God Bless,
James and Rose
