Thoughts from Romans 8 (The Spirit gives life)

Religion without the Spirit is dead and lifeless. It’s about us and how good we can become through our good works and church attendance.
Obviously there’s nothing wrong with either, in fact they’re good. But without relationship they’re just outward decorations and ultimately, which is more important, they won’t save us.
It’s only when we enter relationship with God that the Spirit moves in and transforms us. It’s then no longer about empty religion, instead we come to life.
