Going into tonight’s games, a number of teams were in with a mathematical chance of joining Brandhall and Lions in the semi-finals. Kicking off with the former, they saw the group stage out in style as they beat Church On The Rock 15-0. Adam Chester scored six times and Dave Wall four to give them 64 goals in 6 games. That’s a pretty impressive score-rate.
Brandhall & Quinton FC 15 Adam Chester (6), Dave Wall (4), Dan Lodge (2), Paul Hewitson, Matt McCardle, OG MOTM: Adam Chester
Church On The Rock FC 0 MOTM: Jordan Pratt
Although Kingsbourne looked pre-match favourites to make the last four, they came unstuck against a determined TFC FC. The win will certainly encourage Tipton, although as United FC also won, it won’t help them in terms of qualifying. But it’s still nice to go out on a high.
Kingsbourne 2 Nick Westwood, OG MOTM: Dan Spear
Tipton Family Church FC 4 Craig Donaldson (2), Dave Law (2) MOTM: Dave Law
The Kingsbourne result meant that both Crestwood and United FC qualified, although it wasn’t automatic and the latter had to win to gain their place in the last four. They did it in style though; helped along by Nick Harrold and Reece Potts hat-tricks, they won 8-3.
United FC 8 Nick Harrold (3), Reece Potts (3), Matthew Potts, Wayne Hobday MOTM: Nick Harrold
Crestwood Town FC 3 Callum Archer (2), Joe Colley MOTM: Callum Archer
