On social media you come across a lot of people bragging they’re atheists. Well that may ‘work for them’ when everything’s going well. I should imagine it’s easy to be an atheist if you’ve just won the lottery.
But what about when trouble or tragedy strikes and it’s beyond your own ability to deal with the situation? This is where people, who may not be Christians as such, but still ‘believe’, pray.
They’ve at least got something positive to turn to. (Actually for those of us who are believers, we see prayer as more than a last resort anyway). But what about the atheist? All he can do is worry. The greater the tragedy he encounters, the more he worries.
