Although last night’s games were just friendlies, a massive well done to Carl Jukes’ COTR FC, who got their first ever win as they edged past Tipton Family Church FC 4-3. The game was delicately poised when an excellent strike from distance hit the roof of the net.

And double celebrations, as they also got their first hat-trick, with Jordan Pratt the history-maker on that occasion. Carl summed the game up with his match sheet comments: ‘Excellent, hard fought win’.

Church On The Rock FC  4     Goals: Jordan Pratt (3), Allan Parkes     MOTM: Jordan Pratt

Tipton Family Church FC  3     Goals: Scott Morton, Jez Jeavons, Simon Westwood     MOTM: Craig Eccleston

The other game was equally as close, as Allstar Lions beat United FC by just the one goal. No hat-tricks, but four players scored a brace.

Allstar Lions  6     Goals: Matt Nicholls (2), John Morgan (2), Peter Madge, Sam Ralley     MOTM: Paul Nash

United FC  5     Goals: Nick Harrold (2), Arron Worrall (2), Sunny Singh     MOTM: Simon Robinson

Friendlies again next, so check the August fixtures for a complete list of everything booked so far for the month. If you’re considering entering a team for the new season, a friendly is a great way of testing the water. Get in touch if you’d like to play on3.
