Thoughts from Hebrews 7 (The eternal High Priest)


The typology that we find in the scriptures is fascinating. As we look through the Old Testament we see Jesus as a constant thread.
In this chapter the author highlights Melchizedek, from Genesis.
Jesus is the eternal High Priest, and unlike the others he doesn’t have to offer continual sacrifices. That was done on Calvary. And not for his own sins, as the other High Priests do, but for ours.
