Thoughts from Hebrews 12 (Good discipline is remedial not just punitive)


Discipline, when done in love, isn’t a bad thing. In fact, quite the opposite. And more than being just good, it’s necessary.
If a parent doesn’t discipline their child, as they grow you witness the result. And it’s the same with God and his children.
Don’t see His discipline as punitive but rather remedial, for that’s what it is. It’s intended not to punish for the sake of it, but rather to correct, that we might be better people.
