You hear from time to time someone described as down to earth. It means they don’t have airs and graces and they’re just straightforward people.
In a world where image is becoming ever important, such people are harder to find. We can’t do anything about others though but we can our own lives.
The down to earth person is happy with their own life, they’re contented and fulfilled. They have nothing to prove, nothing to live up to and are not in competition with anyone else. It’s good to be described as down to earth!
