Thoughts from 1 John 2 (The importance of good works)

The Bible is pretty clear – we are saved by grace and not works. However, although they won’t save us, good works are an important part of the Christian faith.

They speak of a changed life. In fact, just saying you’re a Christian is meaningless if it’s just words. It’s the works that confirm the words.

Anyone can say they are Christians. Anyone can go to church every Sunday morning. But it’s the works that will  show whether or not there is true saving faith at work in the person’s life.
