Thoughts from Revelation 5 (It’s all about the lamb, the slain lamb)

Jesus is depicted as a lamb, but behind the imagery is the reality of the cross. The lamb speaks to us directly of the Old Testament sacrifice.

The lamb was slain and the blood covered the sins of the people. But the blood of the lamb of God does more than cover sin. It takes it away.

That’s why it’s not just about the lamb, but the slain lamb.
