Tipton lifted by a battling point (SICM Sevens)

In last night’s games, the only movers were Tipton Family Church FC, who earned a point in their 1-1 draw with Kingsbourne. Swapping places with United FC at the bottom, they had their backs to the wall in the second half, but held on to gain a share of the spoils.

It’s tight amongst the bottom four, and United FC are only in basement place due to goal difference. And although they lost, they will no doubt find some encouragement that they were able to push Brandhall & Quinton FC right to the wire. The 4-3 keeps the latter at the top on goal difference, but only just.

United FC  3     Simon Robinson, Matthew Potts, Nick Harrold     MOTM: Brandon Freeman

After three consecutive wins, that lifted them from bottom to third place, Crestwood Town FC’s good run came to an end as they were hit for six by Allstar Lions. Matt Nicholls scored four as the current The Summer Cup champions look to extend their monopoly of the silverware.
