Although they may have wobbled slightly in recent games, Allstar Lions still went into Monday evening’s game with the opportunity to make a points tally of twenty-five for the season so far. Well, they only just hit the quarter of a century, as they beat United FC by the tightest of margins.

Battling it out for a grip on second-place were Crestwood Town FC and Brandhall & Quinton FC, who took to the field on equal points. Although the latter have also had their wobbles this season, they started as favourites; however the form-book was turned upside down.
Not only did Crestwood win, but they did so in style, inflicting a double-figure defeat on their opponents. Rhys Harper scored six and Iain Gillett grabbed himself a hat-trick.

Rooted at the bottom and in desperate need of points to close the gap, Tipton Family Church FC took on Kingsbourne. Leading 5-2 at the break it looked like the former would be adding a second win of the season to their name. However, their opponents broke hearts as they clawed back to win 7-6.
Three individual players get a mention as Josh Lees and Jack Lewis recorded hat-tricks. Both were edged though by TFC’s Dave Law who found the net four times.
