Both games last night were in the DBMT, with one game in each group. Group A is extremely close,with just one point dividing the three teams at the top. In spite of having a 100% record after three games, Dudley FC now find themselves in third place as United FC pulled off a convincing win which takes them from third place to the pinnacle.

A Tom Smith hat-trick gave Bradley’s Boys a 6-4 victory with Ade Lunn also scoring three for Dudley. Both teams face each other next week, with the final group fixture to be completed later in the month. It really is going to the wire.

Although Group B isn’t as tight, nevertheless nothing is settled as far as final positions are concerned. Brandhall & Quinton FC were hoping to take advantage of Kingsbourne’s poor start to the campaign, instead though it was the hoops that sealed victory by the narrowest of margins in a seven-goal thriller.
