AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR (SICM Sevens)

Last night saw the completion of the quarter-finals in the David Bloor Memorial Trophy (DBMT) with two games scheduled. Unfortunately, we had a no-show from Dudley, so the 5-0 victory allocated to Brandhall ensured that their slender two-goal lead from the first leg was never challenged.

Brandhall & Quinton FC 5

Dudley FC 0

The other game was also a formality in many ways, albeit that Lions took a convincing eight-goal advantage from the first leg into the tie. United put up a great fight though and four second-half goals saw them narrowly lose 4-6 on the night.

United FC 4    Andy McGory (2), Iain Davis (2)     MOTM: Aaron Bullen

Allstar Lions 6  Matt Nicholls (2), Luke Reynolds, Matt Eades, Liam Goddard, Peter Madge     MOTM: Luke Reynolds

Following the game, the draw was made for the semi-final and that, along with all the other DBMT stuff, can be viewed HERE
