LATEST FROM TANZANIA (James Colton)

Tan flag august 2014

Thank you for your prayers.
Sunday 5 July we celebrated The Table of the Lord, and I brought a short word, “The best place to be”, looking at Proverbs 18, the verse declares “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and they are safe.” Did you know the word “safe” here implies being lifted up out of reach?
Rose sang two of her songs in the service – they were a blessing.
God continues to bless Rose’s singing ministry. On Wednesday Rose went with Mama Mganga and Asunta to prepare the “Beat” for the new songs she had received from the Holy Spirit. Now they can practice and begin to perform these songs. The next step will be to actually record these songs.
Monday 6 July was Pastors Fellowship Meeting at Mailimoja, and again I was privileged to bring the Word of God. I spoke about “Chains”. and had 2 lengths of chain as a visual aid. The word was well received and led to a powerful prayer time.
Pastor Chipamba has been busy with members of the church working on the site of our new church to clear the land and prepare a temporary structure. Today they have gone to buy the corrugated iron sheets for the roofing. The plan is that we have our first service there on Sunday morning.
Rose sends her love and greetings.
God Bless,
James and Rose
