We kicked off the new season this evening, albeit with a friendly, as Rob Bradley’s established team took on Paul Slaney’s newcomers. It was a lively, competitive game with United FC dominating early play and taking a 2-0 lead that was only reduced seconds before the break.

With West Midlands Village finding their feet as the match progressed, it was no surprise that they edged back into it. In fact, they ended up taking the spoils, helped along by a Harvey Smith hat-trick.

United FC  3     Connor Potts, Reece Potts, Matthew Potts     MOTM: Craig Coburn

West Midlands Village  4     Harvey Smith (3), Kieran Gru     MOTM: Paul Slaney

We’re playing friendlies during the month of July, so if anyone would like to test the water with a game before committing further, then get in touch. We’re also in need of referees, so again, contact us.
