Going into last night’s Summer Cup with an unbeaten record in both competitive and pre-season friendly games, no-one could have predicted what happened next to West Midlands Village. Although LS Galaxy have hit a rich vein of form of late, scoring a goal every 115 seconds is quite an achievement to say the least.

With Sharp-shooter Dave Law bagging half of the impressive tally there was certainly nothing unlucky in the number thirteen as far as he was concerned. Chris Perry scored eight and Robin Davies chipped in with four. Full credit to the losing manager, Paul Slaney, though. He kept a positive attitude and is already looking forward to the next game to put it right.

LS Galaxy  26       Dave Law (13), Chris Perry (8), Robin Davies (4), Kieran Large    MOTM: Chris Perry

West Midlands Village  0       MOTM: Tom Bissell
