In last night’s William Watts Summer Cup the quarter-finalists, barring cancelled games of course, were confirmed. The actual fixtures themselves will be sorted over the next three weeks as the group stage comes to a head.

Allstars’ up and down season so far was most definitely on the ascendency, as they proved that while 13 may be unlucky for some, it wasn’t for them. In a 16-goal thriller, they beat Crestwood 13-3, to actually leap above them on goal difference. John Morgan hit four and Aaron Lloyd three as the reigning champions hit top form.

Allstars 03  13     John Morgan (4), Aaron Lloyd (3), Liam Goddard (2), Jason Perry, Ben Ball, Matt Nicholls, Pete Madge.   MOTM: John Morgan

Crestwood Town FC  3     Ash (2), Joe Colley      MOTM: Callum Archer

The other fixture was much closer as Tipton fought back to 2-3 in their encounter with West Midlands Village. Although they pushed on in the dying minutes it was the Blues who took the points, and taking advantage of Crestwood’s defeat, moved into second spot.

Tipton Family Church FC  2    Jamal, Craig Donaldson     MOTM: Stewart Bloor

West Midlands Village  3     Luke Heapey (2), Tom Round     MOTM: Luke Heapey
