League table December 21 2015

In the final games before the Christmas break, Allstars 03 went into the festive period top of the league in style as they beat Tipton 18-2. Rhys Harper scored seven, Joe Colley found the net four times and Martyn Shepherd bagged himself a hat-trick.

Allstars 03   18  Rhys Harper (7), Joe Colley (4), Martyn Shepherd (3), Peter Madge (2), Jason Perry (2)     MOTM: Matt Nicholls

Tipton Family Church FC    2     Craig Donaldson, Tom Smith     MOTM: Aaron Bullen

The other game was much closer, although when West Midlands Village stormed into a 5-0 lead you’d have thought it was game over. However, a comeback from Gems FC saw the gap closed to just one goal. Agonisingly for the new boys though, that’s sadly how it ended.

Gems FC   4     Gemal Gokcan, Steven Parsons, Ben Anslow, Liam Thomson     MOTM: Jamie Bradley

West Midlands Village  5     Bradley Smith (2), Luke Heappey, Tom Round, Harvey Smith     MOTM: Bradley Smith

Following the games, mince pies were handed out in the foyer to players on their way out. Allstars’ Peter Madge and Jason Perry enjoyed theirs as you can see from the lead photograph.

The league commences on Monday January 4, in the meantime have a great Christmas and a happy New Year. If you’re thinking of entering a team then we have an upcoming cup competition, plus you can play a friendly or two first. Contact: stewartbloor@outlook.com
