TWO-HORSE RACE ON THE CARDS (SICM Sevens)

SICM Sevens logo

From a tight start a few weeks back, suddenly, as the table indicates, we now have a two-horse race. West Midlands Village picked up their points without even kicking a ball, as LS Galaxy cancelled the game. The resultant points deduction sees Tipton off the bottom.

Cancelled games are awarded 5-0 and also a five-point deduction. It may seems harsh but in the early days of the league it potentially had the problem of becoming incredibly disruptive. The introduction of a penalty has meant that since then it has hardly been an issue.

LS Galaxy 0

In the game that did take place, Tipton took the lead against Allstars. However, the reigning champions hit back. So did Tipton though as the game ended 8-4. Well done to Kyle Carter with the only hat-trick of the evening.

If anyone in the league is thinking of entering a team then we have a cup competition coming up, so an ideal opportunity to do so. Get in touch: stewartbloor@outlook.com
