Want to get involved in missions without leaving the comfort of your own home? Well, we have the perfect opportunity!

James Colton, originally an AOG pastor from Whitby in Yorkshire, England, is on the mission field in Tanzania. Married to a Tanzanian national, Rose, James is very much committed to the work in Africa.

Why not become part of a support group that we’re establishing, that is focused on James and Rose’s ministry?

  1. Do I need to know them personally? Not at all, it’s a general support group to encourage them. As with anything else, relationships will develop over time.
  2. What is involved? In this day and age of internet communication, it’s still a big thing for those on the mission field to receive a hand-written letter. Can you write one a month? If so, that’s the box ticked. Don’t worry about content too much, just general stuff and make it encouraging. Just imagine you were in a far-off country, what sort of letter would you like to receive?
  3. What next? Contact Stewart Bloor ( and if you’re on Facebook  we will add you to a closed group specifically for the Colton support team. The Facebook connection is necessary really as it gives network with other team members and a chance to share ways of encouraging the Coltons.

Please could you give me James email address. My husband passed away last month, and I need to contact James. They were in the same fraternal in the North Yorkshire area. The email address I have is obviously out of date. Thank you. Susan Yates

Hello, Susan. Sorry to hear of your loss, deepest sympathies.
