James Colton, originally an AOG pastor from Whitby in Yorkshire, England, is on the mission field in Tanzania. Married to a Tanzanian national, Rose, James is very much committed to the work in Africa.
Why not become part of a support group that we’re establishing, that is focused on James and Rose’s ministry?
Do I need to know them personally? Not at all, it’s a general support group to encourage them. As with anything else, relationships will develop over time.
What is involved? In this day and age of internet communication, it’s still a big thing for those on the mission field to receive a hand-written letter. Can you write one a month? If so, that’s the box ticked. Don’t worry about content too much, just general stuff and make it encouraging. Just imagine you were in a far-off country, what sort of letter would you like to receive?
What next? Contact Stewart Bloor (email@example.com) and if you’re on Facebook we will add you to a closed group specifically for the Colton support team. The Facebook connection is necessary really as it gives network with other team members and a chance to share ways of encouraging the Coltons.
