My Facebook timeline post after church (Tipton Family Church) on Sunday:
We had 2 new people in last Sunday, today they returned. Well, if last week was brilliant, this week was double brilliant.
Sermon from Galatians 6:9-10 about doing good.
I always use lots of practical illustrations that people can relate to. This week was about a situation in the week where I helped someone who was in a 4×4, couldn’t drive it and was stuck. Anyway, long story but the relevant points were:
1. Don’t pass judgment on situations until you’re in full possession of the facts. Things aren’t always what they appear to be.
2. Always do good. You never know where it will end up, not that you do it for that. I once helped someone and ended up going to America as a result.
3. Don’t forget what you learn. It’s been years since I drove an automatic but it came back to me and I was able to help the person. Sometimes you go through things in life so that you can be a help to another further down the line.
